I have MSE now on four computers. No more watching that little blue "A' ball whirl around as Avast checks every single app and file every single time I open them.

The biggest gain is in performance on the netbook, which got way faster when I got Avast out of the way.

I take that you are very happy with Microsoft Security Essentials. Good to know that.

Antony-

I went from Norton 360 which was a mistake, to AVG free, which worked fine but form some reason irked me, to Avast, with a scan of whatever I opened every time I opened something.

At one point, I was going to go bare, and I think I had some company in that sentiment right here at SillyDog. I mean, you know, it is wrong, and I think none of us actually did it. The suites became unbearable, the free slim A/V guys got too quirky.

I wan to see and here nothing, unless there is a problem. Do a full scan at 2:00AM and otherwise be silent.

So far, that is what MSE is doing.
