Sending from Word 2003

Postby whcarousel » Sat 18 Jul, 2009 5:01 pm

I have transferred my Word 2003 and my Outlook 2003 to a new PC (Vista) from my old computer PC (XP).

I can't send a file from Word through my email as I could on my old computer. The following two messages appear:

"Cannot load extended MAPI library mapi32.dll" When I X out of that, another menu appears that says: "Mail is not installed on your computer."

But I can send and receive email on Outlook.

Can anyone help? :)

I did some research and it looks like this is caused by Outlook not being set as the default mail client. To make Outlook the default client, open Outlook and go to Tools then Options, and choose the tab marked Other. Then check the box labeled "Make Outlook the default program for E-Mail, Contacts, and Calendar", and hit OK.
