Sending Mail From Mozilla 1.2.1

Postby Mike of Sheffield » Fri 06 Dec, 2002 8:14 pm

Having just upgraded from Mozilla 1.1 to 1.2.1 I'm having a problem sending mail.

No problem with incoming mail - this is fine. But when I send mail out, it sticks at the "Sending . . . " box and never clears. Cheching the Connection Status shows a steady line of bytes going out (and coming in) but no mail is being delivered. Even waiting for 5+ mins fails to succeed with a 4-line test message.

I did install the new Mozilla stand-alone (not over the previous version; I did set up a new profile; I have checked (and re-entered) the server identities, usernames, and passwords. Web-based email still works but I don't want to have to go through all that rigmarole.

Has anyone any ideas?

Mike of Sheffield.
