.) Operate with MAC OS 9.1.
.) Recreate all of the folders that I created in Netscape Messenger onto my desktop, or to a disk that I've specified.
.) Copy all e-mails -- sent and received -- into the respective folders, each e-mail being a separate file. The Subject will become the name of the file. (As soon as the program encounters a Subject that has been used before, among e-mails within a folder, it will add a "-2" and so on next to the name.)
.) VERY IMPORTANT - the original dates of the e-mails must be preserved somehow. The creation date of the archive files cannot simply be the date the archiving was done. It is necessary that the archive files can be sorted according to the original e-mail dates.
.) The program will understand all common formats (i.e., HTML, JPEG, PDF), and the archive files will display in the same format as in the original e-mails. All e-mail attachments will be archived, and they will display in-line when their respective archive files are opened. I've used Netscape's "Send Page..." feature a lot; the sent web pages should display in-line with their respective archive files.
.) During subsequent archiving, there will be an option to archive only the e-mails, sent and received, and/or new folders created, since the previous archiving was done.
Please advise.
