Stand Alone vs. Steamline

Postby Dickerson » Tue 24 Dec, 2002 3:24 am

:?:

I am getting ready to download 7.01 Streamline, to replace my 7.0 Stand Alone. When I do this, should I create new profiles, or should what I have now with the Stand Alone work the same with the Streamline?

Thanks in advance for any assistance or ideas provided.

The same profile will work fine. Its just easier to download the XPI files for Netscape from Netscape's FTP server.

OK, another question...

Should I remove my copy of the Stand Alone, or will the Streamline load over top of it?

Thanks again...

I never like to to attempt to copy over. I always create a new folder, and then I can compare the new . It is preferable to uninstall 7.0, and then 7.01 will pick up the plugins folder, which is not removed by uninstalling.

You don't have to remove your current copy, it is up to you.
Streamline 7.01 will be installed into the folder of Stand alone 7.0 (by default). That is... stand-alone 7.0 will be overwritten by streamline 7.01 (by default).
