Strange problem with FF1.0.8

Postby Fulvio » Mon 15 May, 2006 11:23 pm

I am experiencing an odd problem with FF1.0.8, which I have kept, although 1.5.0.3 is default. Different directories, and profiles. Problem #1: I click on Tools|Extentions, and the Extention manager does not come up, but I have the Mr.Tech extention, so I can attempt to install an extention from an xpi file. However, when I tried the Site Advisor extention it does not give me an opportunity to download an .xpi file, and a direct installation does not work. I am told that the Temp folder is full or not accessible. To make things more interesting, any attempt to start in safe-mode does not bring up any active program, no tab, no access to any toolbar. The exact opposite of what should happen in safe mode. It seems that I have another busted profile, perhaps, beyond repairs.
Note: Site Advisor says that it is compatible up to FF1.0.7, but v.20 worked with 1.0.8. The current version is v.21.

Never mind. Everything is ok with new profile. Only latest version Mr.Tech was left out. Problem started when I upgrade to its new 5.0.1.
