I tested 3 different versions of the Google (JP) Search Plugins, and I think if it works on an English system as Kucing reported previously, the current plugin will do the best job.

If you want to cut extra 400bytes, I'll mail you another one.

Streamline 7.02 Japanese Preview Build 1 - 12.68MB

What is there? Please verify.

• Confirmation text should now in Japanese. (Do you want to install Netscape 7.02 Streamline (Japanese)?)
• Flash player has been updated 6.0r79. (upgraded from 6.0r65, please see Macromedia Flash Security patch thread)
• Customised version of "userChrome.css" and "userContent.css". This is more suitable for Japanese auduance. Note: only apply to new profile created with this Streamline 7.02 Japanese.
• Default font size has been reduced, and believed to be more suitable for Japanese users. Note: only apply to new profile created with this Streamline 7.02 Japanese.
• Google (JP) Search Plugin is included (Using the version Joji emailed me).

Hi, Antony.
Just a quick review.

1. SillyDog license agreement panel (when starting installation) is not Japanized (excluding the licese text itself). For example, "I accept ..." is in English.

2. Quick Launch setting is selected on the default. (I think it is un-selected on the English 7.02)

No other problems at this time.

One suggestion:
Can you disable "Real Player setting change" (regxpcom.exe?) which happens after installation? I guess it is for Netscape Radio, and there is no Radio button on Japanese language pack.

Sorry, I forgot to change the setup interface to Japanese, I will change it in next build.

Sorry, forgot to fix that as well.
The set Netscape.co.jp as default will not be selected by default in next build.

Just installed build 2. Confirm for above statements.

I don't think we can get the Streamline 7.02 Japanese ready by 15 March 2003.
If there's no other problems or changes required, we can release it publically.
