Suggestion for next DJGM-I and Streamline Releases

Postby Mandrake » Wed 18 Dec, 2002 10:06 pm

I've noticed that in all the Netscape builds - when I switch to the Classic theme, I still get the Netscape 'Light Show' throbber - which goes well with the modern theme, but doesnt look to much like the rest of the "Classic" theme. Maybe you could use a Communicator style throbber for the Classic theme, and keep the 'light show' throbber for the Modern theme?

Thanks Jarrad,
However, according to Netscape's Browser Distribution Programme, they would prefer to use new Netscape logo not the former one.
Also, Classical Theme is not designed to duplicate the Netscape Communicator.

In my DJGM-i Distros of Netscape 6.2.x, (no longer officially available), I
did replace the default Netscape 6.x animated throbber with one similar
to the one that was used in NS4.x. The static "N" logo in my old distros,
was the standard square "N" logo, with the older "djgm-i" logo on it.

I have no current plans to replace the "NS Lightshow" throbber in my
next selection of DJGM-i Distro builds of NS7.xx, unless I can find some
convenient and unobtrusive way of placing the newer "DJGM-i" logo on it.

Change "N" to "CN"?

An old Mosaic Netscape logo would be good for the Gold skin.

Actually, the "Gold" theme already has the old Mosaic Netscape logo as it's throbber.
