Novell/SUSE has also resumed development of the PowerPC version of SuSE Linux which can be installed
on current and recent PPC based Apple Macintosh computers. The last version of SUSE Linux made for
installation on Apple Macs, was v7.3, which by now is really quite old, and pretty much obsolete.

Since I still have my old G3 iMac, and given the fact that it hasn't been used for a while, it looks
like I'll be able to give it a new lease of life. Once I get a "new" HDD installed on it, I'll be trying
out Kubuntu Linux and SUSE Linux on it. I'll stick with whichever one works best on it.
Sure I could put Mac OS X (Panther) back on it, but with only 256MB RAM onboard, and given
the fact that it's extremely fiddly and really quite difficult to physically upgrade it's internal
parts, my iMac is very unlikely to see any releases of Mac OS X installed upon it again!
