Tech Q: How to scale in Gecko based browsers?

Postby vollie » Tue 24 Aug, 2004 5:30 pm

i need a flash-movie to fill the entire page, but remain in proportion. now in other browsers setting width="100%" height="100%" (and leaving the swf-option scale blank) does the trick. only gecko browsers don't seem to recognize this (movie stays original size or gets scaled horizontally but not vertically). Anyone has a solution for this :?

to see what i mean visit my (UC) site www.vollie.net.

I already asked the flashkit community but they simply didn't answer :( .

Add this CSS
Code: Select all
html, body, div {
  height: 100%;
}
to [tt]flashdetect.htm[/tt], the file that contains the Flash object. See http://www.quirksmode.org/css/100percheight.html if you're curious why. Then please spread some education among the flashkit ignorati.
