No beautiful snow for beautiful Boston this gift-receiving Christmas period!? Don must be extremely disappointed.

This news article says beautiful Boston will not have its usual white Christmas this year. And Boston's weather stated that there has been zero (0) inches of snow this month.

I feel sorry for Don.

Hot Hot Hot here in Sydney today. Reaching 35°C here.

The year started with unusual nice and cool temperature, by cool, I mean low 20s°C (which is still way too high for beautiful Boston's standard).

As for Australia Day (26 Jan), instead of millions of annoying flies, we got soaked wet. Although not very good for BBQ, but many people enjoyed this cooler weather than the scorching heat.

Well, Sydney is not as advanced beautiful Boston, we don't have beautiful Boston's accuracy in forecasting.

For the past two weeks, the headline has been nothing but the rain or flooding. In NSW, many areas had way too much rain, causing flooding. Thousands of people were forced evacuated.

Today, Sydney had the biggest downpour in 5 years. Many roads were closed due to flooding in the city. One area of Sydney was even hit by tornado.



Conclusion: unlike beautiful Boston or picturesque Quincy which is not in earthquake prone zone, not bushfire prone area, and not a cyclone area, just plenty of beautiful snow during the right season. Sydney has to suffer the drought in most years, or extreme heavy rains (flooding). Sydney is also surrounded by bushfire during summer and blood sucking insects.

Weather here in Pulaski has been AMAZING the past two weeks. With temperatures ranging from the low sixties to the high eighties! Perfect for playing tennis, since my season just started! Unfortunately, I am not used to such weather and thus I have a sunburn....in march. Did I mention it was 80, in march?

Nope. Most of the Boston area, including Quincy, didn't have a winter this year. Officially, 7" of snow fell all winter, the least amount of snow since records were first kept.

Just last week, it was between 70-80 here. It was a very strange feeling indeed, to turn on the car air conditioner, in March...

Weather patterns are indeed changing and I suspect much of this has to do with global warming.

It has been reported that when the Jet Stream dipped south and came back up north as it always does, it went too far north. So everywhere that was south of the Jet Stream, had warmer weather. Everywhere north of it, had a regular, cold winter.

It was a strange winter indeed...

For us, the car air conditioner is almost on all year round when we drive. Apart from hot temperature (read: unbearable in Don's picturesque Quincy standard), the air is very polluted here in Sydney's streets.
