Welcome emoreira.

You see, we are gettingf really international here, from the chill just leaving Quebec, to its arrival way way down south.

Emoreira and Lorraine, what is that Mozilla/4 showing up for each of you?

This is wonderful, I am sure lots of folks will enjoy seeing something from afar close up.

It raises two questions for me:

1. Since you say this is a screen shot, are you watching television on your computer?

2. what do we use to have the right code to include a similar item in our posts.

Is it [jpg]...[/jpg] ?

I did actually do it only once.

Sadly yes.
I watch digital TV on my Mac with EyeTV Diversity. And for the TV set (a regular CRT), I watch analogue TV or DVD on it. (All 5 major free-to-air channels in Australia provide both analogue and digital signals in metropolitan areas.)

For example,

(Desperate Housewives is my favourite TV show.)

To insert an inline image, you will need to host it at your own server or somewhere else (such as ImageShack.us or other free image hosting sites). (We also recommend you resize your image to no wider than 550 pixels. This can help readers avoid annoying horizontal scrolling.)

Then, you put the link in between [tt][img]...[/img][/tt] tags.

For example, the above image uses following code:
Code: Select all

So, all of a sudden in New Jersey, San Diego is gone.

It is Sumatra!! Any Sillydog folks from Sumatra? You will know what I mean.

And, here, it happened between 8:00AM and 11:30 AM. Well, that's Jersey.

It was so hot and muggy that I stripped off my shirt in the office and donned my World Community Grid T shirt. A really cool T shirt. When some colleagues found out that they could get T shirts (they do need to buy them), they immediately downloaded the BOINC agent and attached to some projects.

Anyway, tomorrow, it is back to cooler temps and lower humidity.

Tell us your cool (no pun...) weather stories.

Antony-

You're making me jealous!!

BTW, do we have anyone from Sumatra?

I bought a pen on eBay from a guy named Neil in Bangkok, so, you know, anything is possible.

On the first picture, I recognized every city, except Broome, Darwin and Alice Springs.

Those temps seem a bit cold.

Locally, the weather has been in the 60's (Fahrenheit). Today, it was raining for most of today and rain is also expected from Thursday through the weekend.

It's very hot where I live, just across the bridge from Montreal....
In the Great White North....I am going to shower now, as it's 90°F where I am typing....too hot....
but the only place that is cool is down in the basement.
It's supposed to be cooler tomorrow, it is still hot outside.

The weather changed so fast. It was cold and rainy last week...
I mowed my grass and it is so long now. I am trying to get a contractor to cut it but they don't show up.

I guess they would rather sit in their pools than mow grass....but they kept me in the flipping house for several days waiting for them.
I could have gone to an A/C movie or shopping centre or even gone up to the lake, I can't even get a kid to cut the grass
I'd complete it but my lawn mower broke. It is so rusty.
I'm not going to buy one as it's too hard to mow. I can't handle it anymore. The contractor I had the last few years, keeps raising the price and for two weeks he doesn't mow it as he goes on vacation.
He raised it 20% this year to cover the gas price. It takes him 5 mins., 2 men, to mow my lawn, back and front as he has such big equipment. He even mowed down my sweetheart roses that were in bloom and I didn't say anything.. I never bother them, I know they do a lot of places and don't want directions from people like me. So I just leave them alone, same with the snow removal and with that crook I had for my driveway.

Lorraine-

Thanks for recounting our mutual misery.

New Jersey has been blanketed by a suffocating heat of 95-100 deg F since before last Saturday. It is supposed to last maybe another 36 hours.

I should be going cycling or hiking today; but I am not going. I am still recovering from the effects of a nine mile hike last Saturday.

Hi Lorraine

That really makes me angry to hear how you are being mistreated by these clods. Not sure if you are a member of a church but sometimes things can be arranged through folks there. I see the same things around here... young people who are too flipping lazy to do anything but sponge off their parents. At job fairs they stroll on by the booths. When asked if they would like a summer job they laugh. They only want to spend their time down at the beach and when it comes time for college, they expect their parents to pay their way. Lazy. It used to be that you could count on someone to do odd jobs around your house for a fair wage. Not so anymore.

Oh... our weather. Freezing cold here on the Pacific NW coast. Storms... rain... windy... the high today is 55 degrees F. It was actually nicer in January. Folks are starting to call this month: Junuary. LOL

So far, today's weather forecast for [sdt=14783]Apple Store Sydney[/sdt] opening is not looking good.

We all know that the weather forecast is not accurate these days. Fingers crossed.

New Jersey is just a mess. Hot, muggy, rain, thunderstorms, nothing to serious where I am in the middle of the state, but it's like August.
