The Doors

I've made it as far as the last room. I've all but one piece of the letter and the "open" box. If I can find that piece, I believe I would be able to close the box and escape. Anyone?

James,
quick hint needed.

How do I open other doors? I can get into Room 1, and got a box... but nothing.

The doors that you need to use to access the other rooms have a little latch beside them. You "drag" the box that you find over to the latch and drop it there. It will cause the latch to slide down and then you can open the door to the next room. When you finally reach the room with the clock, mess around with it for a bit... but first find the other clues. It's important that you find all the pieces of the torn note since they will be needed at the end in order to make sense of the entire trip through the house.

Thanks. I've been wonder what that was...

James wrote:When you finally reach the room with the clock, mess around with it for a bit...
It's written in one of the thing you found :-P

Need to open the last door :-(

I have an open box, and all the cards (missing the centre piece of the letter)...

As for the missing piece of the letter... I'll need time to find where it is. The problem with using the closed box (once you drag the above onto your cross it will close and you'll be able to escape into the stairwell) is... that the letter will not complete itself and you will essentially be left standing without having completed the game. You have to find that missing piece.

James wrote::)
How did you figure out the combinations for the cards?

I tried a few, then I gave up. Because I thought... 6 cards and that's [tt]6![/tt] (in Math, factorial six, or some pronounced six factorial) ways.
That's [tt]6! = 720[/tt] ways (possibilities).

So I know asking you is faster :-)

Edited: adding additional words to make meaning clear, for non-Math students.

lol.... now, Antony. I'm no genius (you know that) and like you, I recognized that there would be a very large number of possibilities. So I did what all smart husbands do: I asked my wife. And we both know from past experiences that my wife has her "ways". :D

Blue Chamber

Postby James » Sun 10 Jul, 2005 5:43 pm

Well.... I haven't tried this game so I can't vouch for it but here it is for whatever it's worth. I'm not sure I'm going to try it myself.

I have four objects in the Blue Chamber. I'll be danged if I can find a code for the phone or find another piece of the puzzle. I wrote on the note and sent it off in the tube (several times without receiving help). I drew on the money and sent it off... no help.

Help? Antony?

Here's a hint:

Look at a typical telephone. Notice the letters which correspond to each button.

When you first sent the piece of the paper up, it returned with something.

Dial the words (including that thing), that's 7 digits.
