The Drugs I Need

Postby Ron Williams » Wed 16 Mar, 2005 6:48 pm

Well I was on http://www.jibjab.com and was glad to see this cute little ad for the consumers union which wants prescription changs. It does not talk about prescription change, but minicks a drug ad. I can't really explain it other than saying watch it. You need the latest version of quicktime and a high speed internet connection would be helpful.

I guess it means that if you need medication it is cheaper to live in Canada.
People who work usually have Group Insurance and their prescription drugs usually pay 100% or 80% including the family too, usually.

People that don't have Group Insurance are insured by Medicare(Government) whether rich or poor.

I don't know exactly how it works, but I think that
the users pay perhaps 25% of the cost and the Government pays the rest. It depends on your income as you also pay in your income tax.

Hospitalization is free for all in whatever room is available.

The idea to use a similar system here in the states came up while Clinton was in office. No one wanted their taxes to go up in order to pay for it. I've been up to Canada. I wondered one thing the whole time I was there. How are you guys so close to us in the US and still keep things so peaceful and serene. Everyones so nice. How do you do it. I'm a pretty nice guy here in the states, but I was in a restaurant up there, and I knew I was the biggest jerk in the room.

If you had seen our Government in the House of Commons yesterday, you wouldn't think so Eddie.

Actually, we are only 33,000,000 people give or take a few and we are perhaps more reserved :)
Depending where you go tho', you can meet some real jerks here too :(
Perhaps everyone had a hangover or something where you went, as things can get pretty rowdy here too.

The Province which I live in is French although there are a lot of English speaking people that live here too. It is a great place to visit in the summer, lots of Festivals, Jazz, Just for Laughs, Grand Prix, I'm probably forgetting the most important ones, but I like the Jazz and the Just for Laugh festival. Oh of course, The International Fireworks Competition. People come here from all over the world to see the Jazz Fest and the "juste pour rire" festival.
Thousands watch the free shows at night, in the streets, in Montreal.
I don't live in Montreal anymore, but I can get to Montreal in about 20 mins.
