Presenting "The SillyDog701 Members Gallery" . . . !

Use this thread to post any photos of yourself, or any artwork that you want to show the world.

Your photos can be pics of you at home, at work, at school/college/uni, on holiday/vacation or
anywhere you like. Artwork can be anything from drawings and/or paintings to photos of
interesting subjects, such local landmarks, beautiful sunsets, or pleasant scenery.

My wife and I enjoy messing around with digital photography. On Friday we leave for Hawaii, so I'll be sure to take a few images to post here. Good idea, Greg.

Thanks, Antony. Our coastline is pretty rugged. It gives a lot of opportunity to capture the ocean. In June we had quite a Tsunami scare but fortunately the earth's plates shifted sideways rather than vertically!

I do a lot of photography in what little spare time I seem to find. My photo collection is around 2GB worth of 1MB images (uncompressed JPEGs).


From the blizzard this January, notice how only a foot or two of the shrubbery is showing (they're taller than me, and I am 5'5").


...and the car, from the same storm, buried under so much snow that it took awhile for us to drive again.

Unfortunately most of the other good ones have people in them and I do not want to run the risk of publicly displaying them if they don't want to be.

Then there's also that project of re-creating the effects from Star Wars in Photoshop Elements.

I only had a few classes in digital photography, and I still don't have an SLR camera.

We don't have a dslr either. I've been toying with the idea of getting a Pentax istDL but I'm not sure I want to lug around all the extra weight and the lenses that I would probably end up buying. We use a little Kodak) DX7590. It's about the right size and it has a 10x optical zoom with a German Schneider lens. A nice size for carrying in a jacket pocket but a bit too bulky for a shirt pocket.

Anyway... today we're off to Hawaii. I'm excited about the picture prospects. See ya later.

Wow! I see that we have some major photography talent here! I also note that Lorraine is quite a talented artist, altho her art isn't shown on this Forum.

I don't do photography, and certainly no artist, but I do compose digital music. Here are three of my favorite compositions: My World of Music

Keep in mind that I don't take myself too seriously, and I ain't no Liszt, or Searle, just plain old Ramona Jo having fun! This is purely for my personal pleasure, mixing my love of music with my enjoyment of the digital world.
