He's asking how much it cost without any addons or accessories that you also bought.

Well, for DSLR, you will need to have a DSLR body and a lens at least. Flash can be considered as an accessory, but I would consider that as part of the camera.

The only accessory would the Sony GPS logger/tracker.

Even without counting the flash, I would say it's enough for a new iMac.
(to Don: the Canon or Nikon equivalent DSLRs won't be much cheaper than Sony's, if any.)

BTW, the GPS logger/tracker is a great device for all photographers... It not records the location where the photo was taken, but also gives you a map of your route.

Awesome Antony.

I've been looking at the Nikon P90 and the D3000. Not sure if I still want a point and shoot or a DSLR yet.

Last Sunday... beautiful, sunny weather. Just a few shots of the ships and the bridge to Washington.

(first one on the right, flash was a bit too strong.)

And, no, I did not get an iPad.

I love the shot of the hermit crab, Antony. But I have to tell you... I find your watermark on your photos a bit distracting. Just my opinion, mind you.

This Fort is said to be haunted by spirits. To tell you the honest truth... the place gave me the creeps. My wife and I did not stay long.

Nice photos, Antony! Looks like you had a really beautiful vacation.

James, I can't tell why, but for some reason that fort reminds me of a map from Halo 2.

Thank you James and Don.

Thank you for letting me know. I will take that into consideration. The reason for watermark was that I found a number of my photos (particularly gadgets) being used for eBay auction by unknown sellers. And more recently, I found an online computing store (not eBay) using my picture as their product photo... even with the watermark on.

Antony:
Nice photos of the wildlife. I really like the one of the caterpillar.

James:
That place looks pretty neat. I'd really like to explore the area. I've always had a fascination of abandoned buildings.

If you are not afraid of looking at a photo of a cockroach, here's a squeaky clean one!
(I cleaned it with boiling water.)

Unlike beautiful Boston, Sydney is unfortunately full of annoying insects like cockroaches.
