Those dang Trigens in Far Cry...

Postby stoperror » Tue 16 Jun, 2009 8:22 pm

I played Far Cry back when it came out. I played it up until the level where you had to fight the trigens, at least. The trigens were unfair. Almost like they were cheating. I uninstalled the game and put it away. A couple days ago, I was bored and decided to replay Far Cry. Again, the game was good up until the trigens appeared.

What's your way to battle them? Should I cheat (god mode or reconfigure the damage they dish out)? Should I just uninstall the game and chuck the disk out the window?

Sorry, I meant for this to go into the lounge part of the forum. Can an admin or mod do that for me?

I'm the exception, not the rule. Remember that, and you'll be all right.

The trigens are difficult to kill, but not impossible. I found killing them was much easier when using a shotgun rather than an assault rifle of some type. Use assault rifles to kill the mercenaries and save the shotgun ammo for the trigens. It helped a lot for me. Always reloaded all your weapons after each battle too, no matter how small. In some of the larger battles you'll need to switch guns quickly because reloading during a battle takes too long.

But, in the end, there's no getting around the fact that FarCry is bloody hard near the end of the game.
