USB Warning each time I log on

Postby James » Tue 07 Sep, 2010 8:57 am

One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it.

USB Root Hub: Unused USB port, Unused USB port, Unused USB port, Unused USB port, Unused USB port AND Unknown Device.

Recommendation: Try reconnecting the device. If Windows still does not recognize it, replace the device.

*Here's the point. I've tried reconnecting several times (it's a new camera that installs software on the computer). My wife has had no issues with this on her computer but I've had the above. Any ideas?

Just a thought, which USB port are you trying the camera with? Try it on a port that you know works, such as the one that your keyboard, mouse, or some other USB peripheral is hooked up to.
