userChrome - @namespace.........

Postby captjlddavis » Fri 25 Oct, 2002 8:44 pm

Hello to all.

I've been dinking with the userChrome.css file and have to admit that I am not upto speed on CSS. Could one of you be so kind as to give me a little background on the;

@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* set default namespace to XUL */

found in the example userChrome.css file. It states that it must be there for correct operation. Google search got a little to deep for me.

A short explination will suffice (if possible). No big thing as I think everything is working as it should.

Thanks to all in advance

Regards, captjld

I don't think I know exactly what it is. However, I would suggest you start from Netscape's documation from its Theme or Mozilla's documentation pages, and you will not only need the knowledge of CSS but also the XUL as well.

Sorry, can't help more.

Short answer? It'll break your XUL (and in turn UI) if removed :)
