Using KDE on Mac with Fink commander??

Apple products and Mac operating systems. Including discussions on Virtual PC for Mac, Parallels Desktop for Mac, all Apple hardware and everything relating to Mac!

OK its installed. NOW WHAT DO I DO?!

Start X11, and type [tt]startkde[/tt] into xterm. After a couple of minutes, and numerous lines of UNIXish text
appearing in the xterm window, whichever version of KDE you've managed to install should start up
and display the KDE "panel", which works in a very similar way to the taskbar in Windows.

You should then be able to run KDE programs on your Mac, by clicking on the K button, and select from
the menu, in pretty much the same way you'd use the Start button and Programs menu in Windows.

problem! It said it cant find it. This is what it said

By the looks of that, KDE has not been installed correctly, and/or there are some important files
that are either missing or corrupt. You're going to need to completely uninstall and reinstall KDE.

try using ". /sw/bin/init.sh" on the command line before starting kde (WITH the dot)

I got it up and running, but for some reason I cant click off of windows and how long does it run the xterm?????

How do you uninstall it????
