Video clips on Media Player 9

Postby oigle 1 » Sun 29 Aug, 2004 11:28 pm

Since installing SP2, I cannot play video clips from the 'net on Media Player 9. Videos sourced within M/P 9 work fine. Cannot connect M/p 9 using URL connection either. Is there a fix or do we wait for Microsoft to provide a patch?

I wonder if that is WMP10?

XP and MP9,

No - it was MP9. I have fixed the problem by resetting all the MP9 and ie6 settings to "default". Seems they now like each other!! Thanks for your interest. I shall close that subject now.

Idid not understand what you meant by M/P9. I mentioned WMP10 as a possible solution for the problem.
So, was SP2 which changed the settings?

video clips on media player 9

MP9 referred to Windows media player 9. I haven't installed WMP10 as it seems that it is still experimental and I can get in to enough trouble without that!!

Yes, it appeared that SP2 changed the settings. When I reset them all to "default", problem disappeared.
