[eager to learn]

Hi,

I downloaded the full version of NS 7.2 - the suite.

But, when I click on it to extract files it prompts me re: what program to open it with?

What program should I open it with?

Should I always open it with that program?

I just want to install it and run it but can't until I can open it with the right program.

Is this a file which ends in .exe? The concern should not be with, but rather where. I am not sure that I understand what happens. When I have a file like that described by you, I never get a with prompt. The program knows what to do, and where to install it. If you have a file different from .exe, it is another story. Where did you get the program?

I would delete the file you downloaded, and download a fresh copy from the
Netscape FTP site. You shouldn't get the prompt to "Open With".

Hi Ramona,

That made a big difference. 7.2 extracted perfectly.

But, I thought Messenger the built in e-mail program in NS 4.8 was supposed tot be part of NS 7.2?

I can't seem to find it.

I really like Messenger as an e-mail program.

I downloaded the File: NSSetup-Full.exe 24784 KB so I thought Messenger would be in there somewhere.

Do I have to visit another site to download Messenger?

The Mail program is included in 7.2. Look in the lower left hand corner of the browser, and you should see these icons:



The envelope is the Mail & Newsgroups shortcut, and you can set up your Accounts from there.
