Switch from NS 7.1 to NS 9.0

Postby AnneKlaas » Tue 14 Aug, 2007 2:00 pm

Hi,

I would like to move from Netscape 7.1 to Netscape 9.0, because I am facing a lot of issues currently - can't enter anty new url / no webpage comes up a.s.o.
I also have had a system crash last Januari and installed a new drive as c-drive.
What can I do to get all emails / addressbook back from old c-drive?
How can I export and import the current addressbook / email from NS 7.1?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers, Anne

Anne,
there is no way to switch, completely from NS7.1 to NS9. As they say, at the NS website,
Netscape Navigator 9 is available as a standalone installation for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux.
The fact that NS9 is a standalone is, often, misunderstood. It has no mail. Should you want a mail program, Thunderbird will import the NS7.1 settings, and will work well with NS9.
