I'm in Oslo, hoping someone in this forum can be so kind as to assist me.
Suddenly the list of emails on the right-hand side of my SillyDog screen is totally empty, regardless of which email folder I select on the left hand side. My Inbox still grows as new emails arrive, but they do not show up in the list which is currently totally empty.
I noticed intially that most of the emails were gone, only a few files remained. After som more days the remianing emails disappeared to leave the list space totally void. The Inbox physical file had not changed. I have tried to delete the Inbox.msf file and have it regenerate itself, but no no avail. I am now at a loss of what to do about this.
I decided to reorganize the folders in the left part of the screen to do away with the subfolders for now. So now there are'nt any subfolders, but this changed nothing. If I navigate to the phyical files folder in Windows XP, copy a mail file to the desktop, rename it to .txt, it opens fine in an simple text editor as expected, with readble ascii code and some garbled content in case there was an attachment. Looks quite normal to me.
Norton does not find anything bad, but I do not rule out that there may have been an attack the other day when I inadvertently accessed the Internet via the Netscape.
Anyone got a clue?
