SeaMonkey 2.1 is here . . .

After some alphas, 3 betas, and 2 Release Candidates, SeaMonkey 2.1 has been finalised and is now
available from the SeaMonkey Project website as a free download for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.

Supported OS platforms:
Windows 2000/XP/Vista7 - Mac OS X 10.5 (MacIntels only) - plus all current/recent Linux distros.

Now ... I know that some might prefer the lightweight oversimplication of the likes of Google Chrome,
so if you feel that a highly versatile internet app-suite with a browser built upon the same codebase
as Firefox 4, plus a tabbed e-mail and newsgroup client that also supports RSS feeds, and a more
traditional and standard GUI layout wi' nowt taken owt, isn't for you, please do give it a fair go for
a while eitherway, since it's a more volunteer driven community project, and the devs that work
on it voluntarily for no monetary reward, deserve lots of kudos for their efforts.

SeaMonkey now also supports the lightweight skinning option called Personas, that was originally
introduced for Firefox 3.6 (IIRC) ... so if you find the regular themes are a bit too heavy or bloated,
check out the many Personas on offer, all installable without the need to restart the browser.

Since Mozilla has recently gone into overdrive with a faster release schedule for Firefox, it would
seem likely that SeaMonkey 2.2 is to be built upon the same codebase as Firefox 5, with 2.3
likely to contain the same under-the-hood gubbins as Firefox 6 ... and so on . . .
UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20110608 SeaMonkey/2.1
SeaMonkey = Swiss Army Knife: It's versatile, reliable, and contains useful tools.
Windows Internet Explorer = Old Swiss Cheese: Full of holes, and it stinks!
