Hello James,

Never mind. I was able to add my gmail and hotmail accounts very easily to T-bird and frankly, it looks much better than either Windows Live Mail or Outlook (well... a far sight BETTER than Outlook). So, right now I'm perfectly content with what I have.

So have you dropped Windows Live Mail in preference for Thunderbird? If you have, and you prefer SeaMonkey over Firefox, then you reason for not using SM (that you use Windows Live Mail), would no longer apply!

LOL.. nice try, Dave. But no on two counts. First off... I've not made a final decision. The thing is... it's just too early having only set up the T-bird account along with the imported accounts. I'd like to give it a few weeks to see whether or not it really does behave as I'm hoping it will. If so, then yes, I'll drop the Windows Live Mail and Outlook (well, I'll deactivate both, not actually uninstall them since there's no reason to be that radical). Secondly, I honestly don't like the idea of a suite, Dave. To me, SeaMonkey was like a giant step backwards in time. I didn't like the interface (i.e. the collapsible tool bars felt clunky to me; they felt like Netscape way back when), I didn't like the way it handled tabs (granted I could close them with Mousethief's extenstion but I didn't like the way it opened them) and I couldn't help but thinking that this suite was always playing catch-up to Firefox. It's user-base hardly registers on the richter scale, even less that Opera's and I honestly can't see it continuing into the future. Now I'll quickly defend others' satisfaction with it (yours, Edward's, Fulvio's, Richard's, etc.) but it's just not my cup of tea.

I am starting to like the FF/TB combo, however, so we'll see how things go. over the next few weeks. And also... I'm still torn about Chrome. I really, really like its clean, minimalist lines and its speed. It's nothing short of blazing fast on this computer. We'll see...

You don't have to feel bad if you don't use all the features available in SeaMonkey. I bought Adobe CS5 (Design Premium), and I mostly use Photoshop. I don't feel bad that there are components (Flash Professional, InDesign etc) I haven't even touched.

Thanks, Antony. I hear what you're saying and if I liked the look and feel of SeaMonkey, I'd go for it. But in truth, I've pretty much decided that FF and TB will be the combination for me. Right now everything is working as it should (well... almost... gmail is not cooperating all the time in TB so I may have to remove it and just access it on the web). I like the look and feel of both.
