Firefox Sync

I don't know if anyone is going to be able to help me with this but I have a question about FF sync and my Android phone. I set up the sync the other day and expected to see at least something similar to what I have on my desktop FF on my Android phone. It seems, however, that the FF I call up on my phone looks exactly the same as it did before I set up the sync. I cannot find bookmarks, etc. either. So, what have I done wrong or am I expecting too much? The versions of FF on both the phone and the desktop is 6.
Windows 7, Norton Internet Security, Malwarebytes, Spywareblaster for my desktop and Avast for the laptop, user of Chrome and Firefox 9.01.

No need for a response now. I just figured out how this works AND it works quite well.
