Thunderbird 11

Postby Anonymosity » Thu 15 Mar, 2012 12:13 am

Thunderbird 11 came out today, and it has a problem (well, a problem for me). It has tabs on top, and there is no way to turn that off from the settings. Thunderbird 10.0.3 ESR is also out, and it does not have tabs on top, so that is an alternative possibility.

Thanks for the heads-up. Sorry about the tabs but I actually love them in that position. It's so much more natural. But... to each his own. I hope they make a way for folks like you to get your tabs pointing downwards. :)

Interestingly, I don't see any tabs. May be I am not using them. I did see tabs when TB first started, and it gave the release notes.

What about your Add-On manager? Isn't that shown as a tab?

The add-ons manager is shown for me as a separate window in both Tbird and Firefox because I have the MR Tech Toolkit beta installed in both, and it seems to force that. No big deal, as long as I can have access to my add-ons.

Strange. I'm seeing it as a tab. Very odd.

I don't see any tab, and I don't know about any add-on manager. I don't have any add-on which would do anything funny. I will check the settings on this TB. v.10 was showing Tabs below the other toolbars.
I will add to this if I see anything new. But, Tabs on top are fine. I am using Facebook RockMelt which is based on Google Chrome.
