SillyDog701 • Freezes With FF 12 & 13

I've been getting semi frequent freezes of 30 seconds or so with both 12 & 13. Seems to be on pages that are running scripts. It's quite irritating. XP SP3 Quad Core Intel PC.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

You are awfully vague. Can you give a link, especially if the freezes reoccur with the same page. I have not experienced any.

It isn't any specific page. It does seem to be triggered by scripts, but I'm not 100% certain of that.

If there is a script issue, I get a popup warning. Then, I can ignore the issue or not. If this happens again, I will take a closer look.

I did scans with 3 anti spyware programs last night & I THINK the problem was caused by remnants of The "Babylon Toolbar". I apparently picked it up as a tag along with a legal legit video conversion program. It never fully installed (likely due to No Script; the actual toolbar never was visible) & I thought I had removed it a couple weeks ago, but Spybot found 40 remnants of it last night. Since I removed those, SO FAR there have been no farther freezes.

You might want to consider re-installing it then letting Revo Uninstaller take care of uninstalling it since Revo will find ALL of the hidden files and remove them.
