Hi guys! I don't mean to ask a stupid question but here it goes. I purchased an ipod touch a month ago and i wanted to make the most out of it but I really don't know what do and I heard so many things about crashing and some sort of it when you upgrade the software and I don't want that to happen so I'm asking you first a little help before I do anything.:)

My ipodtouch is a 8gig one with a version of 1.1.5(hihi) and so far I haven't half the memory of it. And I was thinking(really) about upgrading it so that I could make the most out of it(like putting apps and all that) but I really don't know where to start and what upgrade should i get. Should I get first the 2.0 first before getting those 2.0.1 or 2.0.2 versions which I don't know if it's good or no good?Or should I just stick to a certain version? Is the 2.0 a free one or I have to pay for it and where can I get it?

Sorry for being a pain guys...

Thanks much in advance and I hope you guys could help me with this one.

Well, the cost to upgrade from 1.x to 2.0 in iPod Touch is only US$9.95. You can get iPod touch Software 2.0 from iTunes Store. Just plug in your iPod touch.

The 2.0 Software Update for iPod touch added a number of features. Including Google Maps, improved Mail, Weather, Web Clips, a customizable Home screen and of course, you will be able to download free Apps or buy Apps from the App Store.

Just get the 2.0 Software Update, then update to the latest 2.0.2 for bug fixes.
