Apple has changed the membership for Mac Developers with new Mac Developer Program which only costs $99 a year, a new development program priced similar to iPhone Developer Program. Member with this new program will receive technical resources, support, access to pre-release software, developer forums and more, all for just $99 per year.

Previously, Apple offered multiple tiers (ADC Select Membership, ADC Premier Membership) at significantly higher prices (US$499, US$3499 per year) but also included hardware discounts and other perks to membership. Existing ADC members accounts will continue as is until they expire, at which time members can then join the new $99/year program. ADC Premier, Select, and Student Memberships are no longer available for purchase. The new Mac Developer Program is the only program currently available to Mac Developers.

Got mine! :)

Though at this moment they aren't giving that much away, just a free copy of Mac OS X v10.6 "Snow Leopard" (which I might or might not install - I'm not completely sure if my MacBook can burn dual layer DVDs) and pre-release builds of the 10.6.3 update. ADC gets more interesting when newer versions of OS X are being developed.

I believe burning DVD+R DL should be standard in all Macs nowadays.

You can check the specs by clicking on the Apple logo, About This Mac, then click on More Info. It's located under "Disc Burning"

Yeah, I'm burning it right now. Will probably install it later tonight.

Also, Mac OS X v10.6 Server is also provided. Though I really don't have any real use for that one...
