iTunes and U2 album

Postby Fulvio » Mon 22 Sep, 2014 3:13 pm

I don't see anything about the furor caused by the fact iTunes users were getting the free U2 album, Songs of Innocence, they like it or not. I am not sure if this is correct, but I wanted it, and I have wasted a tremendous amount of time.
Basically, I got two copies of each song, but numbered at random, so that it was impossible to burn a CD. Nine of the eleven songs could be listened to, and burned to a CD. Two of the other songs, had the correct extention, and apparently the correct size, but they would not play. I tried to redownload them, and I got another, still not having two songs unplayable, and random numbering.
When I tried to reach support, I got an "unavailable URL" message.
Has anyone had such weird experience?

Sorry, I have no idea with this issue.
When you re-download them, I would suggest you to delete them from your iTunes first.

I had forgotten about this post. Since then, I was able to get complete downloads only in my laptop, which has Windows 8.1.
Three failures in XP, and one in 8.1.
Interestingly, a lot of people objected to the fact that the files appeared to have been placed in iTunes, to the point that Apple had set up a complaint site. O may not be correct, but this "fact" was reported by a number of people.
