Weird ampersand problem

Postby LucyVan582 » Mon 04 Apr, 2011 3:48 pm

I just noticed a weird ampersand problem I am having when using Yahoo Messenger. When I am talking on Yahoo Messenger, from both my laptop and my desktop computers, and I use the & sign, it adds some asci code to the end of the sentence. For example, the sentence One and two & three gets sent as
One and two & three</font> Everything works fine in Facebook messaging, but not Yahoo.

I am using Firefox but I don't think that has anything to do with the problem.

I'm wondering where the problem with this lies.

It is most likely due to the coding of HTML.

Everything displayed on web page will need to be convert to HTML, & is & in HTML code.
It is quite likely the converting of user's input did not get properly parsed when converting to viewable HTML page for users.
