Adobe has released Flash 11 (11.0.1.52) for Mac OS X, Windows, Linux and Solaris as well as AIR version 3. Both products bring new support for Stage 3D-the name for hardware-accelerated 2D and 3D graphics-and new mobile features for Android, Blackberry OS.

Flash 11 provides native 64-bit application on all three major platforms, and added H.264 software encoding for cameras.

Flash 11 for Mac requires Mac OS X 10.6 or 10.7 which translates to Intel-based Mac only.
Flash 11 for Windows requires Windows XP or later, and supports 64-bit of Windows 7.

It's about time Adobe got working on 64-bit Flash builds - the browsers, operating systems, and CPUs to run them have been either compatible with or included with almost every PC built in the last five years. Maybe Flash's increasing irrelevance has finally got the Flash group working?

But that link that was just posted will result in a bunch of unwanted stuff being dumped onto one's computer. I presume that the link specifically for only the flash plugin will lead to the same version?
