Wireless not enabeled in Ubuntu

Postby iJohnE » Fri 16 Jan, 2009 6:20 pm

So, I have been using ubuntu for a couple of days now.
I really like it, much better than Windows in my opinion.

One slight problem though, today I discovered that wireless is not enabled.
I checked hardware drivers, and my wireless card has all the proprietary drivers enabled.

When I right-click on the network icon in the system tray, I try to click on Enable Wireless and it's not click-able out.

I have never had this problem before, and the wireless is kind of, well, important.
(How else and I supposed to rip off my neighbor? [Kidding])

As always any help is welcome,

iJohnE.
