Lindows is a company founded by the guy who started mp3.com. As far as I can tell, Lindows aims to make Linux as easy as Windows on the desktop. They were sued by MS due to their name. MS's suit was lost because Lindows won it. They claimed for a while to run Windows programs, but they backed down. To get Lindows, you have to pay 99.00 (USD) to get the software and another 99.00 (USD) to join a "click and run" wearhouse to get Linux software such as Evolution, KDE, GNOME, Moz, etc. It's gotten mixed reviews overall.
