Internet Connection Sharing problem when installing...

Postby Paradox » Wed 15 Apr, 2009 9:02 am

Hi all.

I'm not sure if this is the right section or not but I thought I would post here anyway. I'm trying to install a program, more specifcally, the Nintendo Wifi USB adapter. When I install it, I get an error that says "Internet Connection Sharing Error." I've figured out that the solution may be to turn off the ICS for the connection I use but after I turn it off and start the installer, the ICS gets turned back on and I keep getting the error. Is there some way to fix this?

Have you been to the Nintendo site yet for help?

A Google search of [ nintendo wifi usb connector troubleshooting ] gives over 20,000 hits. The first one is this. One link there ("Using ... ") is this.

Is that for Nintendo Wii or for Nintendo DS?

I've tried that before and I haven't been able to find the solution. I've looked through the links, including downloading a registry tool that's on the site but it didn't work.

It's for the DS though I believe you can also use it to access Wifi through the Wii.

Okay. I only have a Wii. The WiFi connection is built-in.
