Issue with Chrome 14

Postby Fulvio » Mon 11 Jul, 2011 12:31 pm

I use the Internet to make payments, and, so far I never encountered any problem, using any version of Firefox.
today, I decided to make one payment using Google Chrome, and everything went well, until I tried to copy the payment page, for my records. Chrome told me that it could not display the Preview, and I had no way back, other than logging out. I logged in again, and saw that the requested payment had been entered. So, I tried to edit the amount, and tried again, and again no Preview. I, then, tried with Firefox 3.6.18, and was told that the preview would open another window, and was able to print the transaction.

That's a new one on me, Fulvio, and you know that I use Chrome as my default so I should have seen this by now if it were an issue. Must be something in your settings or the site you visited.

It was Target.com. I reported the issue to them, and they were, equally, perplexed, because Chrome is one of their favorite browsers. As for Settings, I would have no clue on what to look for. I never saw, anywhere a response of that kind. However, the transaction went through.
Unless it is the setting to allow site to show popups, which is forbidden, by default. If this is the case, it is a restrictive setting, because, I would have to allow all popups to see what is continuation of what goes on.
I don't allow popups in Firefox, but if a popup is a result of something which is requested, like Print, I can do it.
So, it is either Chrome, or Target having written its site incorrectly.
