Hello Keith, How are you? Haven't seen you for quite a while.

To be honest, I haven't even heard of Dangerous Dave, and I don't have Windows 7. If the DOS mode under Windows 7 (if it exists) does not work for Dangerous Dave, you can try to install Windows Virtual PC which is free from Microsoft, then install MS-DOS under it.

As for the DOS box, I don't know exactly, sorry.

A quick Google search shows that Dangerous Dave looks interesting. I might try it myself after I install a Windows virtual machine for Parallels Desktop for Mac on this Mac.

DOSbox is a DOS emulator that's useful for running older games, available here. If you're familiar with a DOS environment then you should be good to go.

Does it mean that I can run DOSbox on Mac OS X without Parallels Desktop for Mac?

DosBOX should work fine for you. I've used it on both Vista and 7, although that was a while ago.
