Passwords

Postby James » Fri 13 Jul, 2012 9:43 am

With the recent hacking of Yahoo in which over 400,000 user names and passwords were stolen, I began to think again about my passwords. How often do you change your passwords? Do you have different and unique passwords for every site or do you use the same ones?

I don't change my passwords often. I know I am lazy.

Some of you might know that I use Yojimbo to store most of my passwords. Hence I don't really care what exactly is the password.

In the past, I used to have 3 different passwords for most websites. Now, I usually have passwords in one of the few formats (all different). E.g: AAAsitenameBBB this helps me to guess/figure out my password when I don't have access to Yojimbo.

Apparently, it's not just Yahoo!'s password, but also open-source extremists' trusted Gmail, AOL and everybody's beloved Microsoft's Live.com are also affected. News.com.au
