Unofficial x64 Binary Repository

Postby Don_HH2K » Sun 16 Dec, 2007 11:37 am

I got this idea from [sdt=11009]Pu7o's Unofficial Intel Binary Repository[/sdt]. Originally I had been planning a complete directory of Windows x64 binaries that I had found and compiled. Now that substantially more developers are offering native 64-bit builds of their software, I'm hosting recompiles of a few popular C/C++ apps that don't yet officially offer 64-bit builds.

The site's available here.

If you encounter a crash on startup, it's most likely because you either aren't using a 64-bit version of Windows (these will NOT run on 32-bit Windows OSes regardless of whether or not you have a 64-bit processor), or you don't have the appropriate C runtime installed. Runtime DLLs are not attached; you'll need to download them from Microsoft if you haven't already done so.

If you'd like to request a build, you can go ahead and do so here. I'll attempt to find a pre-built x64 native build or try and compile a build myself.

That sounds like a good idea.
