The DJGM-i Distros of Netscape 7.01 . . .

Postby DJGM » Wed 11 Dec, 2002 4:27 am

I'm pleased to officially announce, the new DJGM-i Distros of Netscape 7.01
are available for free download NOW! All in record time, less than 48 hours
since the official NS7.01 releases hit the FTP servers over @ Netscape.com!

A couple of reasons why it's recommended to download the
new DJGM-i Distros of NS7.01, instead of the official release:

The official release includes Sun Java2 v1.4.0_01, but the Pigeon Edition,
and the Full-On Edition of the DJGM-i Distros include the newer v1.4.1_01.

The Pigeon Edition and Full-On Edition are both 3.4Mb smaller than the
previous DJGM-i Distros of Netscape 7.0. This is simply because the
newer Sun Java2 v1.4.1_01 is a few megabytes smaller than
the v1.4.0_01 that was packaged with the distros of N7.0.

In these new distros, I've decided to include the registration component
that invokes the Netscape Network registration dialog after installation.
Please do not cancel this, as it is needed to count all the downloaded
and installed copies of Netscape 7.x, and to ensure that AOL does
not decide to write off Netscape as no longer viable. I'm sure we
don't want THAT to happen. (I bet Microsoft does though!)

So, what are you waiting for? Get yourself off to Club Netscape
and download any (or all) of the DJGM-i Distros of your choice!
UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.0.2) Gecko/20021120 Netscape/7.01 (CK-DJGM-i.net)
SeaMonkey = Swiss Army Knife: It's versatile, reliable, and contains useful tools.
Windows Internet Explorer = Old Swiss Cheese: Full of holes, and it stinks!
