This is good news.

IMO, the more people that ditch IE the better, whichever browser they choose in it's place.
If only Opera was completely free, IE would soon lose a sizeable chunk of market share.

SeaMonkey = Swiss Army Knife: It's versatile, reliable, and contains useful tools.
Windows Internet Explorer = Old Swiss Cheese: Full of holes, and it stinks!

I don't see a completely-free Opera browser in its future, but when you look at it, in the advertiser-supported version:

The ads are not intrusive, they are up on the toolbar - out of the way of the rest of the browser screen.

Lately, I have noticed ads from some larger entities as well as colleges and universities. So if Opera can attract organizations of that caliber, then Opera is clearly doing something right.

Well, we still have ad-free Netscape!

Another thing I was wondering... how many Eudora users are there still around? Eudora has ads.
