7.02 Internet Search buttons

Postby Jeffie » Wed 02 Apr, 2003 2:47 pm

How can I get the small search button on the Personal Toolbar and the larger search button next to the location box to always go to Google when I click on them. I DID change the default internet search in the preferences to Google and when I type something in the location box and click the button, it does go to Google.
But if I just click either search button, without typing in the location box, it goes to Overture or some other search engine.
How can I make especially the personal toolbar search button go to Google?
Thanks.

All the duplication which gets you nowhere, can replace, after removing the toolbar search button, by a Google button. Just enter http://www.google.com in an save the bookmark, then go to Manage Bookmarks from the bookmarks button, and drag the Google bookmark into the Personal Toolbar Folder., whereever is convenient to you. You may want to rename the button to just plain Google.
