SCO going after more than just Big Blue now . . . !

Postby Mandrake » Thu 13 Nov, 2003 8:04 am

Apparently it seems that battling with one of the world's largest tech companies is not enough for The SCO Group!

According to C|Net: "SCO said Wednesday that it has filed subpoenas with the U.S. District Court in Utah, targeting six different individuals or organizations. Those include Novell; Linus Torvalds, creator of the Linux kernel; Richard Stallman of the Free Software Foundation; Stuart Cohen, chief executive of the Open Source Development Labs; and John Horsley, general counsel of Transmeta."

Interesting that they would try and go after Novell, since it is said that Novell owns enough UNIX patents and other UNIX bits and pieces to be immune to the threats of the SCO Group.

They've got a bloody nerve! SCO should be collectively told to go take a running jump!

I believe this whole charade of SCO's (don't know what else to call it!), will be thrown out of court once it gets to the pre-trial stage.

Re: SuSE 9.0 . . .

As soon as it's stock at the local branch of PC World, I'll get myself a copy!
