I would add a link or something to my site, but no-one really visits my site . .. (Just a repository for keeping all my junk, basically).

The "Save The Netscape Browser" petition has now got it's first celebrity endorsement!

My points still stand correct.marcoos wrote:Antony wrote:netscape.com is the default homepage of MSIE, and has been for years! (a special Netscape portal version for Apple is the default homepage for MSIE for

Yes, but this is only for the Mac versions of.

DJGM wrote:That's the very problem that I had several months ago. It seems, no matter which browser you're using,
be it Mozilla, Netscape IE, or whatever, and no matter which OS you're on, the Apple/Netscape home-
page sets a cookie which forces your browser to load the apple.adp page by default, everytime you
attempt to access the main homepage of the Netscape Network website. Ideally, it should really
only do this if you're using Netscape, Mozilla, IE or Safari on a Mac, but it doesn't!
When I experienced this problem, even clearing out my Netscape and Mozilla cache didn't resolve
the problem. I eventually found that going to either http://netscape.org/ or to http://mcom.com/
sorted it out. I was even considering recreating my Netscape/Mozilla profiles as a last resort!
Just for sake of blaming someone or something for this particular annoyance, I blame AOL . . . !
