I think it's safe to say that all cats prefer people food over cat food.

That is expensive.

Quite a few of the store-brand cat foods down here, are actually made in Canada and the price is quite reasonable, but we realized that when feeding Mindy canned food, she will not drink water, because of the moisture already in canned food, so we put her back on dry food.

Well, you can spoil Mindy with pet milk.

A number of years ago, there was a "Pet" branded "evaporated milk" available, I haven't seen it in years.

Pet Brand

Postby Ron Williams » Sat 09 Oct, 2004 7:47 pm

This Pet brand is making icecream, milk, and evaporated milk for what i know but it is all human food. Why dont you try and see if a pet store has pet milk. I dont know why you need pet milk because my vet says in moderation the human milk is fine

You have to feed cats all year round, not just winter.

My cats catch birds and mice, but don't eat them. They have their expensive cat food, but they prefer my sandwich fish and cooked meal.

My cats eat the gophers, birds and mice they catch, so we don't really have to feed them in the summer.

I guess it's actually, because you don't feed them during summer time. They were forced to find food somewhere else.

There's enough rodents running around taht I shouldn't need to feed them.

Cats are not too smart !!!
Although I must say, we had a cat once for about 8 mos., along with a Labrador dog and a Silver German Shepherd, that used to turn the light on in the basement and my hubby would have a fit in the morning as he thought it was one of the kids that left it on AGAIN!!!! :)

My mother in law gave the kitten to my daughter.
My hubby brought home a 3 week old Labrador.
Then he brought home the Silver GSD. They thought it was an animal rescue home.
Who looked after them? I did of course, until I got pregnant, nauseated opening the dog and cat food, and told my hubby to get rid of the lot.

We also had a rabbit once, that was a sad story I will tell you about another time;)
It hopped into a pail of black oil in the garage the first night we had it.
