Again, our favourite wallpaper - Carlson Twins. Another Carlson Twins desktop wallpaper.

Image

It is either Kyle Carlson or Lane Carlson, Abercrombie and Fitch's models. I have no idea which one he is.

TK19,

Your images are saved as TIFF files. TIFF files tend to be very large in file size. Your latest unsized desktop is 1.39 MB in size. Also, TIFF files cannot be viewed as images on the forum, even if you use correct tags. You'd want to use JPG, PNG, or GIF to save your images. Images in those file types are considerably smaller, and can be viewed on the forum.

Below is a resized version of your desktop saved as a JPG. Note the file size of the JPG is much smaller than your first image.

If you need software to save images other than TIFF, you should grab a copy of XNview, it's free for personal use. (There are versions for most OSs including Windows, Mac and Linux)

The latest, fresh from Photoshop Elements and featuring Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong...

I found this particular scene somewhere in the American Idiot video if anyone is interested.

Always remember, free your mind...

Image
(Image resized by Antony, original file)

Mac OS X Panther 10.3.9, skinned to look like Jaguar, running Safari, iTunes, X-Chat, Proteus and Terminal. On the dock you can also see Apple's X11, VNCDimension, Konqueror, KWord and Konversation (not necessarily on this order)

a not-so-small comment: It sure takes a lot of effort to save a screenshot as jpeg with OS X. I first took the screenshot in PDF using commandkey+shift+3. Afterwards i tried converting the picture to jpeg (convert pdesktop.pdf pdesktop.jpg on the command line) but it only converted half the image. so i ended up first converting it to postscript (pdf2ps pdesktop.pdf pdesktop.ps) and then converting it from postscript to jpeg with imagemagick (convert pdesktop.ps pdesktop.jpg). Finally, i uploaded it.

Pu7o,

To convert a screengrab that has started off as a PDF into an image file on Mac OS X, open it up
in Preview, then go to - File - Export - and choose to save it in an appropriate image format.

Hope that helps . . .
