NS 8.0.1 rendering speed

Is it just me or does the page rendering speed seem slower on NS 8 versus the older NS 7.2 . Pages just seem to come up faster on 7.2 . I have an older computer so may the new one just uses more resources . Anybody else see this ? But on the same note I always thought that Firefox was slower than 7.2 too so maybe it's just something to do with the Firefox platform on my machine .

go to about:config and change network.http.proxy.version and network.http.version from 1.1 to 1.0. zooms for me.
