Netscape 7.01 asks for setup after system crash

Postby dpdr » Tue 28 Jan, 2003 1:45 pm

Linux user running NS7.01 system hangs or crash will NS running.
After restart NS ask for user setup again. Files appear to be in
$HOME/.mozilla

Any way to reuse these files or tell NS that they are there?

Does the the Profile need to be recreated every time.

I did not get as far as you, since I do not know what I am doing, in Linux, but if you have such problem, then you should create a new Profile, with a different name. There may be somethng ailing in the profile which you are using, and, if you are pointing to it, the problem is guaranteed to reoccur. And, you should be able to copy and paste from the old to the new, almost any file other than your preferences. Now, I think that I should get into Linux as a punishment for misbehaving.
